Field Service Technician to perform customer site visits for new equipment installation and post install servicing of the equipment. Visits shall involve pre-installation, installation and startup of equipment, provide training and instruct the customer operators and maintenance teams on the function and safety of the equipment plus include all post installation support including technical support, providing any service needed of the equipment including emergencies and planned maintenance/upgrades. To assist and aid Engineering and Sales in connection with the company line of equipment. Work shall be documented and presented in connection with all installation, service work and for the calls received to assist in troubleshooting issues.

Requirements:
A working background with knowledge of PLC, control circuit wiring, electro-pneumatic systems, PID controller and computer-based programs. Trouble shooting skills and a solid mechanical knowledge of motors, hydraulics and pneumatics. A minimum of two years in the required field as mentioned. High school graduate. Two years of tech school or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:
A strong background working with and troubleshooting computer-based industrial control equipment in the food industry. Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics. A solid mechanical knowledge of motor encoder controls, conveying, hydraulics and pneumatics. A minimum of two years in the required field as mentioned.
Scope of Responsibility/Accountability:
Explain the degree of supervision/guidance, procedures/ processes used, judgement, creativity, planning & resourcefulness needed to do the job.
Supervisory Responsibility:
May have occasional indirect reports such as Road Crew or Contractors on site. This could vary from one to six people for installation and re-building of equipment.
Internal contacts with Engineering, Product Managers, Project Managers, Manufacturing Dept., Parts Dept., Sales Dept. Sales Support Dept., and other Service Techs. and Service Managers. These are all necessary to provide information for completion of routine assignments. External contacts will be the end user of the product, routinely Plant Mgrs. Maintenance Mgrs. and staff, Production Mgrs. and staff, Sanitation Mgrs. and staff. Contact is necessary for scheduling the installation and servicing of equipment as well as training those individuals for operation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment supplied by JBT Marel Corp.
Financial Responsibility:
Must have the ability to maintain and enter all cost transactions for proper invoicing.

Work Environment:
Majority of work will be confined to factory type environment. Some work is in the pre-construction environment. Working conditions are like those found in processing plants where portioning, cooking and freezing equipment is in use. Travel can be 70% to 80% of work time and not restricted to the North America Region.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands as would be found in factory work. Heavy lifting is not routinely required. Maneuvering around new construction sites and factory sites consisting of multiple stories is routine.
