Field Specialist

Pay: $16.94-50 hour based on appointment line-up. See Below

Job Description:

A Field Specialist can expect the freedom of not working a full 9-5pm shift, but receive a full day’s pay for playing with dogs, lead park adventures, and being outdoors. You are given a static, pre-curated route that takes your address, work schedule, schooling, childcare, physical limitations, and access to transportation into account so you’re not spending your hard earned pay at the gas tank. Your animal appointments will get to know you, and you them, but your week will be different enough to stave off boredom. All Home Buddy clients and animals are fielded for behavior and compatibility with other humans and animals for safety and comfortability. What You’ll Do:

• : 20 minute appointments where the dog is walked around their own neighborhood. Late Night, Weekend, and Holiday premiums are added to your pay!
• : 25 minute appointments where the animals are visited in their own home, fed, played with, and waste area cleaned.
• : 1 hour hike in a local park with sometimes multiple dogs using the Field Specialist’s vehicle.
• *After a 6 month probationary period is completed* A Field Specialist will stay overnight in a clients home to watch their animal where they are the most comfortable. Weekend and Holiday premiums can also be added to your pay!

Home Buddy will equip you with leashes, waste bags, car covers, seat belts, uniforms, and what you need to accomplish your appointments and rep for Home Buddy Company.

Job Type: Part--Time, Contract

Required Availability:

• Optional morning and afternoon dog walks
• Evening walks (after 7:00 PM) with additional client pay, paid directly to the team member
• Overnight in-home dog care available after 6 months-
• 1-2 weekends a month *with increased pay*
• Holidays *with increased pay*

Field Specialists are also encouraged but not required to ask about a Hybrid Schedule with taking Daycare Shifts (See Pet Care Associate listing for more details) in between appointments, or to assist in Dog Training to increase pay!

• Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable managing multiple dogs safely
• Self-motivated and able to stay on task without supervision
• Comfortable with active, outdoor work
• Willing to work some weekends and holidays

Schedule Overview:

• Morning Walks: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
• Afternoon Walks: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Late Afternoon Walks: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Evening Walks (additional pay): 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM — paid directly by the client to the team member
• Daycare Hours: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Weekends: 1–2 per month
• Holidays: Must be available (with increased pay!)
