Job Summary
Summit Mechanical, LLC is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee HVAC field operations across multiple new construction projects. This role is responsible for controlling labor, assigning manpower based on project needs, supporting field production, and working onsite as needed to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate has strong HVAC new construction experience, can manage multiple active jobs, and is comfortable leading crews while stepping in onsite when needed to support production and solve problems.
Responsibilities
- Control labor across multiple projects to meet productivity and budget goals
- Distribute employees to the appropriate projects based on manpower needs, schedule demands, and skill level
- Monitor daily field progress and adjust manpower as project needs change
- Work onsite as needed to support crews and maintain production
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, general contractors, and other trades
- Review job progress and identify labor, scheduling, and production issues early
- Ensure all HVAC work is installed according to plans, specifications, code requirements, and company standards
- Visit jobsites regularly to verify progress, quality, safety, and manpower effectiveness
- Support field crews with planning, troubleshooting, and execution
- Maintain jobsite efficiency, accountability, and production performance
- Enforce company safety expectations and jobsite safety standards
- Communicate field updates, labor needs, and project concerns to management
Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years of HVAC experience required
- 3 to 5 years of HVAC leadership experience required
- Previous experience as a superintendent, lead foreman, or similar field leadership role preferred
- Multi-family, light commercial, and tenant improvement experience preferred
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork, equipment installation, and jobsite coordination
- Ability to manage labor across multiple active projects
- Ability to read and interpret plans and mechanical drawings
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing project demands
- Valid driver’s license required

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
