Position Summary

Tri-County OIC is seeking a Finance & Accounting Specialist to support the organization’s financial operations. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, maintaining financial records, and supporting nonprofit grant financial compliance.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with QuickBooks, payroll systems, and nonprofit accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Post debits and credits and maintain accurate financial accounts and ledgers.
  • Prepare financial records including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Reconcile accounts and verify financial data accuracy.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process vendor invoices and manage accounts payable.
  • Track incoming payments and maintain accounts receivable records.
  • Prepare invoices and monitor outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile cash receipts and deposits.

Payroll

  • Prepare and process employee payroll.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Assist with preparation of financial documentation for audits and grant compliance.
  • Gather and prepare financial reports for accountants, auditors, and funders.
  • Support leadership with internal financial reporting and reviews.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable

Preferred

  • Experience using QuickBooks
  • Experience working in nonprofit accounting
  • Experience processing payroll

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
  • Ability to work both independently and collaborative

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
