What You Will Be Doing

The job-holder is required to support all the financial accounting and reporting related activities, assist in the preparation of the group consolidated / subsidiaries’ financial statements, preparation of relevant schedules to the financial statements, reporting to various stake holders, including but not limiting to, business finance, SCA, ICD, IR pack, surveys and request for financial information, monthly controls over key financial aspects, preparation of daily reports, co-ordinate with other finance teams in terms of accounting aspects and reporting information flow, reconciliations, maintenance of chart of accounts, system implementation projects and other activities as applicable and as assigned from time to time.

• Ensure all transactions are correctly accounted for in GL and other OGL modules as well as other core systems and the information flow is correct and complete from a group financial reporting perspective.
• Ensure analysis and control over key financial aspects assigned.
• Support preparation and presentation of Group/Subsidiaries Financial statements, relevant schedules, ICD reporting, IR pack and various surveys and request for financial information.
• Support preparation of other reports which need to be sent to internal and external stakeholders.
• To proactively assist in ensuring that there are effective checks and controls in place to ensure end to end reconciliation of financial data and adequate control over all sundry, suspense and Inter branch / Inter group accounts.
• Maintenance of Chart of Accounts / account opening and parameters maintenance
• Support process optimization through focus on Automation.
• Manage reconciliation, analysis and control over key balance sheet and Income statements items.

What We are Looking for

• 3 -5 years in the Banking /Finance industry preferably in Corporate.
• Local experience of Laws governing the Banking Industries
• Knowledge of corporate products, MIS, computer literacy & any corporate banking system
