The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Finance Analyst/Clerk to join the Finance team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms (to include cottages and villas), 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

Classification: Full Time

Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

The Finance Analyst - Accounts Payable will perform activities to support general accounting functions within the Finance department. The Finance Analyst will be principally responsible for the processing and payment of all bills, vendor liaison and issue resolution, and vendor account management. In addition to performance, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

Primary responsibilities:

• Process and pay all bills upon verification of invoice accuracy and account coding, supporting documentation, and appropriate approvals
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure supporting documentation is created and actioned in a timely manner
• Reconcile vendor statements upon receipt and liaise with vendors to maintain account currency
• Communicate clearly with vendors via phone and email, and respond timely to vendor requests for information
• Collaborate with SSCs and service provider, as well as partner with SSC to resolve questions, coding, and vendor issues.
• Participate in the production of monthly accounts as directed.
• Complete month-end responsibilities
• Participate in special projects, team training and development
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required
• Reports results to others and aids others to understand financial matters.
• Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with other finance departments and corporate departments they support
• Collaborates with manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish project/department goals
• Attends staff meetings pertinent to work assignments
• Researches and responds to information requests from internal departments and management
• Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations on property and follow the correct procedures when required
