Job Summary:
The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the finance and accounting department. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Management
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results and initiating corrective actions.
Accounting Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
Audit and Compliance
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Ensure tax compliance (corporate income tax, VAT, payroll tax, etc.).
- Prepare statutory financial statements and liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.
Cash and Asset Management
- Monitor cash flow, banking, and investment activities.
- Optimize working capital and manage financial risks.
- Maintain the company’s asset register and oversee depreciation schedules.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and mentor finance and accounting staff.
- Evaluate team performance and provide development opportunities.
- Ensure efficient workflows and support staff in meeting deadlines.
Strategic Support
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Participate in business planning, risk management, and cost control initiatives.
- Assist with M&A, fundraising, or other strategic finance activities as required.
Requirements:Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/ACCA is a plus).
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Xero).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Effective communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
