Organization Overview

Recognizing the need to look beyond immediate relief, the organization expanded its work to address systemic challenges in public health, environmental sustainability, climate resilience, poverty alleviation, and democratic governance. Since its inception, Friends Foundation has been registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 and with the Punjab Charity Commission as a Category ‘A’ charity.

Over two decades, Friends Foundation has expanded its development efforts to support underprivileged and marginalized communities across various provinces and districts of Pakistan. Its interventions cover multiple thematic areas, including health, education, WASH, Women Empowerment, Climate Resilience, Governanceand humanitarian response. The foundation's approach centers on engaging and organizing communities to leverage local resources and implement impactful development initiatives for sustainable change. It has provided crucial support during crises like the Internally Displaced Persons crisis and various disease outbreaks. The organization continues to strengthen communities through initiatives focused on capacity building, women's empowerment, gender mainstreaming, and behavior change, with its impact growing exponentially through partnerships with public and private entities.
