Finance and Operation (F&O) Project Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Finance and Operation (F&O) Project Manager to lead complex initiatives that drive financial efficiency and operational excellence. In this role, you will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Your expertise in project management methodologies, business process modeling, and change management will be critical to optimizing workflows, controlling costs, and enhancing overall performance. Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end management of finance and operational projects, including scope definition, planning, scheduling, and resource allocation using tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that incorporate risk management, quality assurance, cost control, and schedule adherence in accordance with PMBOK and Agile methodologies such as SAFe or Kanban.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to accurately capture business needs and translate them into detailed project specifications.
  • Apply root cause analysis techniques and Lean Six Sigma principles to identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen or Waterfall-based solutions.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor earned value management metrics, and ensure projects stay within financial targets while delivering maximum value.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams through effective meeting facilitation, conflict management, and communication skills to foster collaboration and accountability.
  • Oversee vendor management activities including contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and IT infrastructure integration to support project success.
  • Utilize PPM tools such as Confluence, Workday, or Primavera P6 for project scheduling, reporting, and portfolio management to ensure transparency and stakeholder engagement.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in project management lifecycle including scope management, time management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or Primavera P6; familiarity with PPM tools like VersionOne or Project Server is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of business process modeling techniques including process mapping and requirements analysis to streamline operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in managing diverse teams across multiple projects or programs.
  • Expertise in change management strategies to facilitate organizational transitions smoothly while maintaining productivity.
  • Deep understanding of program development frameworks like Lean Six Sigma, Waterfall, Agile (SAFe), Kanban; certification in Six Sigma or PMP is preferred.
  • Ability to perform data analysis skills for vendor evaluation, cost control measures, or process improvements using SAS or Salesforce platforms.
  • Excellent presentation skills for stakeholder reporting; technical writing capabilities for documentation purposes are highly valued.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
