Forever Paws Animal Shelter – Fall River, MA
35–40 hours per week
Forever Paws Animal Shelter is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Finance & Operations Coordinator to join our team. This position plays an important role in the financial and operational management of our nonprofit animal shelter and works closely with shelter leadership and the Board of Directors.
The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, budgeting, nonprofit operations, and general facility oversight. This position requires strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Maintain financial records using QuickBooks
* Prepare and manage profit & loss statements and balance sheets
* Assist in developing and presenting budgets to the Board of Directors
* Support grant writing and grant-related financial documentation
* Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred, or a minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience
* Experience with QuickBooks required
* Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and bookkeeping practices
* Familiarity with nonprofit operations and grant writing preferred
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
* Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* 35–40 hours per week
* Some flexibility may be required based on operational needs
Pay based on experience.
