Job Description
The role of a Finance Assistant is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of financial tasks within an organization. As a Finance Assistant, you will provide critical support to the finance department through various duties including data entry, financial analysis, and day-to-day financial transactions. You will work closely with accounting teams to maintain accurate financial records and prepare necessary financial reports. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills will be essential in handling invoices, processing expenses, and managing payroll, all while ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Responsibilities

Conduct daily banking activities and maintain cash records efficiently.

Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll operations.

Compile and prepare payment vouchers accurately for vendor payments.

Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable duties promptly and accurately.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and annual budgets.

Monitor company expenses and assist with cost analysis on projects.

Maintain and update financial spreadsheets and databases as required.

Process, verify, and reconcile invoices to ensure timely payments.

Assist in month-end closing activities by compiling financial documents.

Communicate with vendors and clients regarding due invoices and account statements.

Support the finance team in handling tax filing and audit preparations.

Ensure compliance with financial policies and recommend improvements where needed.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline required.

Minimum of two years experience in a finance or accounting role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and accounting software.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and numerical accuracy.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
