Overview:
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Associate with 3-5 years of relevant work experience. The ideal candidate should be skilled in creating high-impact presentations, designing financial materials, and using data visualization tools. Experience in working with financial matrices, data sets, and infographics, along with adaptability to AI tools, is essential.
Axria is a vertically integrated real estate development firm headquartered in New Jersey. The firm has completed over $1 billion in development value, 100+ projects and has over 50 years of experience across the Mid-Atlantic Region. You will join a vibrant team of over a 100 people working across the real estate development spectrum. The role will be fully remote with occasional trips and conferences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop intricate financial models to underwrite deals and project investment returns, including revenue projections, expense forecasting and capital expenditure planning.
- Build and maintain complex DCF models, IRR calculations, and sensitivity analyses for acquisitions, developments, and refinancing
- Perform comparative market analysis and benchmarking studies for development opportunities
- Monitor and track actual performance against projected returns with variance reporting
- Design visually compelling presentations and financial materials for senior leadership and stakeholders, and external investor communications
- Utilize advanced data visualization techniques to enhance financial storytelling
- Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports, charts, dashboards, and infographics that translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Adapt to and utilize AI-powered tools for financial analysis, reporting, and presentation enhancement
- Present insights and investment opportunities in a clear and engaging manner to investors and stakeholders
- Prepare investment committee presentations and memoranda for development projects
- Support due diligence processes and provide analytical support for investment decisions
- Maintain accurate documentation of all financial models, assumptions, and methodologies
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 to 8 years of experience as an analyst/associate in an investment banking, asset management, private equity, family office, pension fund, or high finance role.
- A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification, level 1 or 2
- Very high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong command of financial modeling including DCF analysis, sensitivity analyses, scenario modeling
- Experience with data interpretation
- Experience in designing and working with matrices, large data sets, and visual storytelling
- Ability to produce clean, professional presentation decks for internal use
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Capability to work US hours in Eastern Standard Time (EST)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Preferred:
- Real estate experience, although not a requirement
- Understanding of construction cost estimation and development timelines
- Experience with real estate software platforms and CRM platforms
- MBA in Finance or a related field
- Exposure / Adaptability to automation tools or AI-driven platforms used in finance and reporting
Effective public speaking skills and an extroverted attitude to networking and building relationships
