Our client Riphah International University is looking for a Finance Deputy Manager in Lahore

Riphah International University seeks a dedicated Deputy Manager - Finance to support and enhance the organizations financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and compliance functions. In this role, you play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while assisting senior management in strategic financial decision-making. This position demands a strong grasp of financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and risk management to uphold the university's commitment to sound financial governance.

The Deputy Manager - Finance works closely with multiple departments to coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives. Although this role does not involve direct team management, it requires excellent collaboration skills and the ability to oversee daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a significant background in accounting standards, internal controls, and financial reporting systems, with expertise in tools such as SAP Financial Accounting and Hyperion Financial Management. This position also supports audit activities and risk assessments, helping to foster compliance with IFRS and GAAP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assist in the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Monitor and manage budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring realistic and achievable financial plans.
  • Maintain accuracy of financial records and guarantee compliance with applicable accounting standards including IFRS and GAAP.
  • Supervise daily accounting operations encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and bank reconciliations.
  • Provide comprehensive support during internal and external audits by organizing and supplying necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Analyze financial data rigorously to prepare detailed management reports that facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal company policies to mitigate legal and financial risks.
  • Assist in managing cash flow and conduct financial risk assessments to safeguard the university's financial stability.
  • Coordinate with various departments to support financial planning and implement effective cost control measures across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements through performance metrics analysis and financial modeling.
  • Leverage financial reporting software and ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.
  • Support treasury management functions that optimize liquidity and fund allocation for operational needs.
  • Apply principles of agile scrum and project management software to streamline financial projects and reporting cycles.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting and auditing procedures to uphold the integrity of all financial transactions.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to build sophisticated financial models that predict trends and drive strategic planning.
