Your Opportunity
As the Finance Director for the IMEAT (India, Middle East and Turkey) business area within the Global Solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing all financial aspects of the business. Your mission will be to develop and implement strategic financial plans to drive the achievement of the company’s overarching goals and objectives. This role will be significantly business-focused and strategic in nature, guiding the financial direction of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial leadership by managing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including profit and loss analysis, ensuring alignment with the company's growth strategy.
- Be the financial representative to the Division and Group
- Mergers and Acquisitions: Lead the financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions, overseeing due diligence, financial planning, scoping, closing, and integration.
- Risk Management: Perform in-depth analysis of liabilities and assets to effectively manage risks. Optimise the working capital efficiency of the business.
- Strategic Planning: Advise on long-term business and financial planning, contributing to the development and execution of strategic initiatives, product launches, and new service offerings.
- Business Partnering: Establish relationships with senior management, to provide financial support to business wide decision making. Follow up to ensure financial outcomes are expected.
- Financial Performance: Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization, offering insights and recommendations for both short-term and long-term growth plans.
- Technology and Systems: Work with the divisional IT and Finance Shared Service centres to contribute to the best possible systems environment.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and communicate with controllers at the regional and business unit levels, with matrix reporting responsibilities. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the finance and accounting teams.
- Compliance: Oversee compliance efforts within the business segment, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA)
- Strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Experience of building a business minded high performance team
- Several years of extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in financial modelling and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software.
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP planning software.
