Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role located in Shreveport, LA. The Finance & Grants Specialist will manage financial operations, including preparing financial statements, overseeing grant compliance, and assisting in grant reporting. This role requires working closely with the accounting team, analyzing budgets, and developing financial reports to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Additionally, the specialist will support communication efforts related to financial and grant management with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Finance and Financial Statements, with a strong understanding of financial management practices
  • Expertise in Accounting, including budget preparation and financial reporting
  • Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data and ensure accuracy
  • Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with teams and stakeholders
  • Experience with grant compliance and reporting is highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of nonprofit financial management is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
