Finance intern

The Finance Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the Finance and FP&A teams while developing practical skills in financial analysis, reporting, and cost accounting. This role provides meaningful exposure to real business projects and the opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a dynamic corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support development of the FP&A executive reporting package for management and key stakeholders
• Assist with financial analysis, including performance vs. budget and forecast
• Contribute to cost accounting initiatives, including GR/IR related projects
• Help consolidate and analyze financial data to support reporting and decision-making

Preferred Qualifications

• Fully matriculated student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience with SAP preferred but not required

Learning Outcomes

• Understand the structure and presentation of financial reports
• Apply cost accounting concepts in a real-world setting
• Analyze financial data and identify variances
• Investigate root causes of discrepancies and support solutions

Internship Experience
This 11+ week summer internship (June 1 – mid-August) offers hands-on project work, weekly development sessions with senior leadership, and opportunities to build professional skills. Interns will conclude the program by delivering a final presentation to Takasago executive leaders and employees.
