FINANCE INTERN

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Finance Intern will support the Finance team with day-to-day operations. This role provides hands-on experience in data analysis and internal processes while assisting with key tasks such as invoice processing, reconciliations, and audits. The Finance Intern will gain exposure to both domestic and international activities and contribute to improving efficiency and accuracy within the department. This position reports to the Finance Manager.


RESPONSIBILITIES
:

  • Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and assist with issuing credits when needed.
  • Conduct General Ledger (GL) audits for both domestic and international teams.
  • Prepare and distribute expense registers.
  • Participate in monthly inventory counts and support reconciliation processes.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation.


QUALIFICATIONS
:

  • 0-3 years of experience; currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher required.
  • Able to work on-site on Wednesdays; flexibility to work remotely or in-office for second day.
  • Experience with NetSuite or any other ERP system a plue.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must reside in the Chicagoland area.
