About the Role
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/FUNCTIONS
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to maintain accounting records
- Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding
- Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records
- Access computerized financial information to respond to internal inquiries
- Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and data verification
Billing & Accounts Support
- Assist in the preparation and issuance of customer invoices according to established procedures
- Support tariff and freight billing processes ensuring proper documentation and accuracy
- Generate and distribute customer statements and monitor account balances
- Assist with accounts payable functions including invoice matching, verification, and discrepancy resolution
- Code MROs (Non-Inventory Request Forms) according to company procedures
Reporting & Analysis
- Compile financial, accounting, and operational data for reporting purposes
- Support ad hoc financial reporting and analysis requests
Compliance & Process Adherence
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
- Follow 5S procedures
Collaboration & Administrative Support
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial information
- Perform general office duties such as filing, scanning, and handling routine correspondence
- Other job-related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables), with the ability to learn and use accounting software systems and standard office equipment
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, including accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, analyze data, research unfamiliar topics, and communicate findings clearly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and provide strong customer service
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping abilities
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Sound judgment, business acumen, and decision-making skills, with a commitment to accuracy, continuous learning, and flexibility
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience or coursework in cost accounting or manufacturing finance
- Skilled in using ERP systems (e.g., IFS)
- Advanced skills in MS Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical working conditions at Kitron are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, low exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors, clean and sanitary conditions with average light industrial noise. Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required. Offices with locking doors, meeting rooms, and common printing areas are well lit, clean, low noise, and temperature controlled with no exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to sit for extended periods and lift up to 10lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
