Finance Manager with over 5 years of UAE experience in the service industry, responsible for leading the finance function, ensuring full compliance with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and international tax requirements, and driving robust financial planning, reporting and controls to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, banking, and cash-flow management in line with IFRS and UAE regulations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports; analyze performance, margins and KPIs and present insights to senior management.
Manage end-to-end UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance: registration, return preparation, filing, reconciliations, maintenance of tax records, and liaison with Federal Tax Authority and external tax advisors where required.
Monitor and interpret changes in UAE tax law, GCC VAT rules and relevant international tax developments (e.g., transfer pricing, BEPS), and assess their impact on the business.
Design, implement and strengthen internal controls, finance policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation across all service lines.
Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles; develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts and long-term financial plans aligned with business strategy.
Evaluate business cases, project profitability and pricing for service contracts; provide decision support to management on investments, cost optimisation and expansion opportunities.
Coordinate and manage annual external audits and any tax inspections; ensure timely closure of audit findings and statutory filings.
Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax consultants and other external stakeholders.
Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring effective workload allocation, performance management and continuous development.
Key Skills and Tools
In-depth knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax, UAE VAT and basic international tax principles relevant to cross-border service businesses.
Strong command of IFRS and local regulatory reporting requirements.
Advanced proficiency in financial tools such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics), Tally, Excel (advanced), and reporting/BI tools for dashboards and analytics.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial and tax matters to non-finance leadership.
