Finance Manager Overview

This is an excellent opportunity to join a large diversified family owned Saudi business group that has a large portfolio of commercial businesses. The organization is currently in a process of a transformational restructuring and this is a newly created role that focuses on consolidating the financial reporting for the group.

The Finance Manager supervises the finance unit and will be the senior financial spokesperson for the financial department. The FM will report directly into the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, complete and consistent recording and reporting of financial activities.
• Oversee the management and coordination of annual statutory reporting activities, in line with relevant reporting standards, for the Group.
• Oversee the production of consolidated Group monthly reports including reconciliations as well as financial statements for use by Executive management.
• Supervise and oversee the general ledger activities and ensure that journal booking, posting and closing the books are completed on a timely and accurate basis.
• Review journal entries to check accuracy and compliance with the established rules and accounting principles and that all entries are supported by valid documentation.
• Implement financial policies and procedures across head office and subsidiary Group companies.
• Ensure the existence of a proper financial control environment.
• Report directly to both the Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Financial Officer on all financial matters.

Prior experience of dealing with the Department of Zakat Income Tax (DZIT) would be beneficial.

Education and Experience

Ability to:

• Foster and cultivate strong relationships with all the financial heads of all family owned businesses.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal.

Education

• Completion of a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CA.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English.

Experience

• Ten to Fifteen years of financial management experience with the day-to-day financial operations of an organization.
• Prior experience of working with a large group holding company, including group reporting and consolidation.
• Experience of establishing a robust control environment.
