Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially-minded Finance Manager to lead our financial operations. The ideal candidate will oversee the full accounting cycle for our banana import and export business, managing high-volume cross-border transactions, trade finance instruments, and cost-control measures specific to the perishable goods industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Manage day-to-day accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and monthly P&L reporting.
- Trade Finance: Execute and manage Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees, and Open Account terms with international suppliers and buyers.
- Cost Analysis: Monitor and analyze "Land costs" including freight, customs duties, port charges, and storage fees to maintain profit margins.
- Inventory & Spoilage: Work closely with the supply chain team to account for inventory valuation and manage financial provisions for "wastage" or spoilage common in the banana trade.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with GCC VAT regulations and international trade laws.
- Cash Flow Management: Optimize working capital to support frequent import shipments and seasonal fluctuations in the fruit market.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. ACCA, CPA, or CMA qualification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 4–7 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 2 years in an import/export or FMCG environment.
- Technical Skills: * Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Tally Prime).
- Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and margin analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms 2020.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure during peak shipping seasons.
