Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial reporting and accounting functions of an organization. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient financial operations.

  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Develop financial forecasts and budgets based on strategic goals and historical data.
  • Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Perform feasibility studies from scratch without end-user input
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and manage all tax activities, including compliance with UAE tax regulations.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Strategic Planning and Decision Support:
  • Provide strategic financial advice and support to senior management in decision-making processes.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and capital allocation strategies.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate with other departments (such as operations, sales, and marketing) to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure staff training and development to enhance capabilities and performance.

Qualifications·

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc) may be preferred or required for senior positions
  • Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) may be advantageous

Experience

Requires 5 plus year of experience in financial management or accounting roles within the |UAE, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic decision-making.

Knowledge & Skills

Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
