What You’ll Do
In this role, you will support the organization’s financial operations and help ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance. Responsibilities include:
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Processing invoices and preparing payments
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements
- Maintaining accurate financial records in QuickBooks
- Tracking and recording donations, including restricted and grant funding
- Assisting with payroll processing
- Preparing monthly financial reports for leadership
- Supporting budget tracking and annual planning
- Assisting with audit preparation and compliance requirements
- Collaborating with the Development Manager on donor and grant tracking
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (nonprofit experience preferred)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable working in a small, team-oriented environment

- Experience with nonprofit financial reporting or grant tracking

- Interest in or commitment to animal welfare
Compensation
$20–$25 per hour, commensurate with experience
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
