Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with a background in Construction, fit-out or project accounting to manage the financial and statutory accounting processes for our group of companies in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including tax filing and statutory accounting. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with UAE tax laws and regulations, and providing timely financial reporting to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting: Oversee the day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring all accounting entries are accurately recorded in the ERP system. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
Project Accounting: Manage project-related financial activities, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, and expense allocation for fit-out or construction projects.
Tax Filing & Compliance: Prepare and file VAT returns, corporate tax filings, and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations. Ensure timely submission and adherence to local tax laws.
Statutory Accounting: Ensure all statutory financial reporting is completed in accordance with local accounting standards and IFRS.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and variance analysis between actual and budgeted costs.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow for ongoing projects, ensuring effective working capital management. Coordinate with project managers to forecast cash needs and optimize cash positions.
Internal Controls & Compliance: Develop and implement internal financial controls to ensure robust policies and procedures. Regularly review accounting practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Reconciliation: Ensure timely reconciliation of project accounts, bank accounts, and supplier payments.
Contract & Payment Management: Oversee contract reviews from a financial perspective and manage accounts payable and receivable for project contracts and suppliers.
ERP System Management: Ensure efficient use of ERP system for financial reporting and project accounting.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with specific expertise in project accounting or fit-out/construction industry.
Strong experience in tax filing and statutory accounting in the UAE.
Solid understanding of UAE tax laws (including VAT) and IFRS standards.
Proficient in ERP systems and advanced in Excel.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English .
