POSITION SUMMARY
The Finance Manager is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization and serves as the organization's subject matter expert in nonprofit accounting, fund accounting, grant compliance, and financial reporting. This position partners closely with the Director of Finance to ensure sound financial management, regulatory compliance, accurate financial reporting, and the long-term financial sustainability of the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in nonprofit accounting, government and foundation grant management, financial reporting, and fund accounting, with a strong commitment to supporting the mission of a growing nonprofit organization.
This role supports organizational financial health by managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining vendor records, reconciling bank accounts, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit financial standards and IRS requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining audit readiness, supporting grant compliance, and ensuring financial transparency across all programs and funding streams.
RESPONSIBILITES AND SKILLS
Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and fund accounting. Knowledge of grant compliance and financial reporting requirements. Understanding of GAAP and nonprofit financial management. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Commitment to Full Circle Youth Empowerment's mission and values. Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities. Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and credit card accounts. Maintain accurate fund accounting for restricted and unrestricted funds. Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and audit ready.
Grant Accounting and Compliance
Manage financial activity for multiple government, state, federal, and private foundation grants. Track grant expenditures by funding source and program. Monitor grant budgets and ensure expenditures remain within approved funding limits. Prepare grant reimbursement requests, financial reports, and supporting documentation. Maintain grant financial files and documentation for compliance and monitoring reviews. Ensure compliance with grant agreements, Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200), and funding agency requirements. Collaborate with program staff to monitor grant spending and budget performance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Pay: $85,000.00 per year
