This role is a key member of the GSC EMETA Leadership Team, responsible for driving financial excellence, strategic planning, and sustainable business performance. The position will monitor performance, provide analysis and insights, and implement interventions to ensure consistency and continuous improvement across multiple plants and logistic hubs within the region, while managing a team of GSC Finance tags. The Finance Manager will also play a critical role in reviewing and enhancing supply chain value chain efficiencies. The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager, Castrol Europe-META, and work in close partnership with the GSC EMETA Supply Chain Director. Key Accountabilities: Strategy and Planning Lead and manage the annual planning process for plants and logistic hubs, ensuring plans are robustly challenged and assured. Support the delivery of key projects, including business case preparation and subsequent review of FMs and CAPEX expenditure related to plants and CF. Business Partnering and Performance Insights Provide consolidated review and analysis of financials, decision support, performance information, and economic analytics across multiple plants to improve performance. Lead planning, forecasting, and variance analysis processes. Monitor in-year performance via KPIs, delivering qualitative insights and recommending interventions when required (e.g., adjusting forecasting methodology). Partner with Planning, Manufacturing and CF Managers to ensure operational teams make balanced trade-off decisions, while driving initiatives focused on operating working capital improvement—optimizing cash conversion cycles, managing receivables, payables, and inventory to release cash and improve efficiency. Oversee product costing analysis and ensure compliance with group/segment policies (PCTP, inventory provisioning, etc.). Manage inventory data, stock valuation, variances, and stock counts/asset verifications at plant level, implementing corrective actions where necessary. Participate in plant and CF performance meetings and follow through on action items. Monitor CAPEX performance, validate expenditure, and ensure account reconciliations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with Minimum Control Expectations, working closely with ARC to provide assurance over reporting accuracy, integrity, and GRM compliance. Ensure timely completion of system structure updates, ad hoc requests, and audit requirements. Identify, manage, and mitigate risks and opportunities associated with finance supply chain activities. Performance Management Drive the performance agenda through robust financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. Deliver timely and accurate financial insights to support decision-making and identify improvement opportunities. Lead preparation and delivery of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, latest estimates, and long-term outlooks. Team Leadership and Development Lead, coach, and develop direct reports to ensure effective execution of team accountabilities with a strong focus on continuous improvement. Build and strengthen the Performance team’s capabilities, driving HSSE culture, motivation, talent development, and functional expertise in planning and performance. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CPA/ACCA desirable). Strong understanding of finance, supply chain financial operations, project management, and IT&S infrastructure (preferably SAP). Proven track record in performance management and operating working capital optimization. Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, with leadership experience in diverse and geographically dispersed teams. Experience in management information processes (actuals, RF, and plan), with a focus on performance analysis and intervention (preferably within supply chain). Strong coaching and people development skills. Proven business partnering ability with strong impact, interpersonal, and communication skills. Analytical and strategic thinker, capable of assimilating data, identifying issues, challenging assumptions, and anticipating future trends.
