Job Summary
The Finance Manager – F&B is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of food and beverage outlets. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective cost control, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. The Finance Manager supports operational management by providing financial analysis and strategic recommendations to maximize profitability and maintain strong financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Analyze revenue trends, food and beverage cost percentages, and labor costs.
- Monitor daily sales reports and ensure accurate POS reconciliation.
- Provide variance analysis and performance reports to management.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts for all outlets.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and recommend corrective actions.
- Support pricing strategies and menu engineering analysis.
3. Cost Control & Profitability
- Monitor food cost, beverage cost, and wastage control.
- Conduct regular gross profit and margin analysis.
- Implement cost-control systems across purchasing, production, and operations.
- Evaluate supplier contracts and negotiate cost efficiencies where applicable.
4. Inventory & Procurement Control
- Supervise monthly stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Monitor inventory variance and investigate discrepancies.
- Ensure proper control over purchase orders, goods received notes, and supplier invoices.
5. Cash Flow & Banking
- Oversee daily cash collections and bank deposits.
- Monitor petty cash and outlet-level cash controls.
- Ensure proper revenue reconciliation procedures.
6. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and tax requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls and policies.
7. Team Leadership
- Supervise and guide accounting staff, storekeepers, and finance personnel.
- Train operational managers on financial awareness and cost management.
- Support management in financial decision-making.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in finance, preferably within F&B or hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of food cost control, inventory systems, and POS systems.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
