Finance Transformation

Position Summary
SPV Accounting – Lead Solution Advisor

The Lead Solution Advisor is a hands-on member of Deloitte’s Finance Operate team, responsible for managing day-to-day SPV activities and fund accounting services for global investment management clients.

Deliver accurate, timely financial information under US GAAP (incl. ASC 946).

Drive efficiencies through automation and technology-enabled solutions.

Document processes during transitions and maintain strong stakeholder communications.

As part of Deloitte’s Finance Operate practice, you will deliver high-quality controllership services to global investment management clients, contribute to smooth period-end closes, and embed leading practices in accounting, controls, and technology-enabled operations.
Work You Will Do

The Lead Solution Advisor provides consulting services by working on corporations focused on real estate funds

Working as part of Fund Management Team aligned to Asset Management business of the organization

Responsible for doing end-to-end financial reporting on a quarterly and yearly basis.

Oversee daily, monthly and quarterly fund accounting activities, help the preparer and review Net Asset Value (NAV) calculation and ensure accurate timely financial reporting to clients and regulators under US GAAP (incl. ASC 946).

Performing NAV calculations and producing the financial statements including detailed notes to accounts.

Preparing the cash forecast and projections frequently to assess the liquidity position of the fund and to advise on the decision-making process

Analyze the current fund accounting process and helps in process improvement.

Liaision with external vendors (property managers, local accountants, fund administrators, etc.) to ensure timely completion of financial statements

Execute ad-hoc queries and support the client in audit activities

Work closely with the Fund Controllers to ensure smooth day-to day functioning of the Funds as well as assist in adhoc activities.

Working with team to identify and understand their challenges, managing day-to-day client and internal relationships and identify solutions to drive desired outcomes
- Review property level monthly/quarterly financial statement including consolidation at ultimate and intermediate Hold Co level, GAAP adjustments, variance analysis, Asset and debt appraisals
- Liaison with property managers to close on monthly financial reporting packages.
Qualifications required
Must have skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

4-7 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferable in real estate fund accounting

Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Experience in working with teams across multiple geographies

Strong communication (both written and verbal English), and organizational and interpersonal relationship-building skills

Ability to debug and troubleshoot issues

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels

Build positive relationships within the organization

Ability to learn quickly and meet deadlines.

Ability to manage multiple partners including external team

Ability to standardize procedures to generate efficiency in-house and create internal templates
Good to have skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Experience in working on systems like Yardi, Spectrum, etc. is preferred
Education

Qualified accountant (CA/CPA/ACCA)

Post-Graduate/Graduate in Finance /Accounting

The role requires flexibility to work in various shift timings, including night shifts, as per business needs.
