About the Role
The Finance Systems Lead is responsible to provide support to the wide group of SAP end users
both internal and external to Finance Division. The Finance Systems Lead is responsible for
exploring the functionalities of existing/ new tools and identifying optimum system solutions
in managing the business activities without compromising controls and segregation of duties.
Finance Systems Lead provides technical guidance to the Finance Systems team and the users
in maintaining SAP and other related tools.
Responsibilities

Maintain integrity of master data related to finance department by ensuring right data with right approvals are created within finance systems harmonized with other systems.

Monitor the risks associated with SAP access for the finance users and provide assistance to finance users in obtaining the right access without compromising the controls and segregation of duties.

Develops periodic reports for the SAP Finance access violations for the management review.

Understand the current and future business environment and effectively anticipate, identify, and meet business needs.

Provide consulting in business and user needs.

Evaluate end-to-end, moderate to high complexity business processes in business functional areas.

Identify, propose, influence, and lead system solutions to moderate-to-complex business problems.

Develop business requirements, change requests, procedures and user manual.

Actively contribute to teams that define, review and approve requirements for the business needs solution.

Handle complex user issues and troubleshoot bugs in finance systems and tools.

Escalate and manage with KAUST IT in providing a permanent and sustainable system solution to the system problems identified.

Identify gaps in systems and controls and ensure internal controls are implemented and systems are up to date to prevent and monitor errors and unfavorable use of systems.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth integration of other systems with the finance systems.

Support other system teams outside finance division in financial transactions originating from other systems for example, HR systems and Graduate Affairs.

Play key role in different system implementations sponsored by Finance management ensuring optimum integration and user satisfaction.

Mentor junior team members and provide system guidance knowledge to support.

Provide customer service to the finance users for their day to day operational activities enabling them to use the finance systems to its optimum utilization.

Provide support to procurement systems as required.

Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of his/her position.
Skills & Qualifications

Expert knowledge and application experience of SAP finance related modules.

Experience in the implementation of SAP to a large-scale enterprise, preferably at a University/ similar Tertiary Institutions.

Expert knowledge of how different SAP and other tools interact and integrate with SAP finance modules.

Excellent Project Management skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Bachelors Business Administration or IT degree, preferably in project management or software development.

Professional-level SAP certificates related to finance modules are essential.

Other qualifications related to software development, business intelligence, process automation, and non-SAP tools are desirable.

Minimum 10 years of SAP experience of implementation and support.

Consistent and proven record of successful implementation of SAP preferably with a large university, public institute or not-for-profit organization working with large consultancy firm with at least 2 implementations of S4 HANA at senior level.

Experience in Finance related modules to support revenue, receivables, payables, treasury, Assets, budgeting and reporting processes.

Experience in complex projects of implementation and support.

Experience of running queries, adding automations in S4 and designing be-spoke reports for finance users.
