Role Overview

As we scale, Finance plays a central role in ensuring our creative ambition is matched by operational excellence and financial discipline.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with 2–3 years of experience to support the day-to-day financial operations of Tribe X. This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation who takes ownership of their work, enjoys collaborating closely with others, and is motivated to continuously improve how things are done.

You will report to the Senior Financial Controller and the wider finance team to ensure accurate financial records, smooth month-end processes, and strong financial discipline in a fast-paced, agency environment.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain accurate accounting records, including general ledger entries, journals, and reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities in line with internal timelines
• Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany balances
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including invoice posting, payment tracking, and follow-ups
• Assist with VAT, tax filings, and statutory reporting in coordination with the Senior Financial Controller and external advisors
• Work within Xero as the core accounting system; ensure data accuracy and proper documentation (prior Xero experience is a plus)
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits and internal reviews
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and local regulations in Egypt and UAE
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and ways of working

What You Bring

• BSc or MSc Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in an accounting role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
• Prior experience working with Xero or similar accounting/ERP systems (Xero experience highly appreciated)
• High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Comfortable managing recurring tasks independently while knowing when to ask questions or escalate
• Organized, reliable, and able to work to deadlines in a dynamic environment
• A proactive mindset with the curiosity to stay ahead of the curve and continuously improve
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude
• Solid Excel skills and confidence working with numbers
