Position Overview:
The Financial Accounting Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, managing reconciliations, and supporting timely financial reporting.
This role involves maintaining integrity across all transactional records, assisting in financial close processes, and performing detailed reconciliations to enable transparency and compliance.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain the general ledger with accurate and timely posting of all transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting Principles.
• Reconcile sub-ledgers with the general ledger, investigating and correcting discrepancies as needed.
• Prepare financial reports in alignment with reporting deadlines.
• Reconcile daily and monthly bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain and monitor cash balances to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and account adjustments.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and cash accounts to ensure accuracy and timely detection of discrepancies.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, SAP, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliation practices, and attention to details.
