Financial Advisor — Job Description (With Accounts Team Leadership)

Position Title: Financial Advisor

Reports to: Managing Director

Location: Dubai (Part-time / Full-time / Consultancy Retainer)

Role Summary

The Financial Advisor is responsible for providing high-level financial strategy, overseeing the entire finance function, and managing the accounts team across multiple business units, including furniture manufacturing, events and exhibitions, fit-out projects, and real estate investments.

This role ensures strong financial governance, effective cash flow management, and long-term investment planning, while guiding the company’s partnerships, expansion initiatives, and capital structuring.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Planning

  • Develop long-term financial strategies for all business units.
  • Analyze performance and advise on expansion, restructuring, and cost optimization.
  • Build 3–10 year financial roadmaps aligned with business goals.

2. Leadership of Accounts & Finance Team

  • Supervise Senior Accountant, Junior Accountant, and finance support staff.
  • Establish financial controls, policies, and reporting structures.
  • Review all financial reports before submission to management.
  • Guide the team on budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and compliance.
  • Ensure ERP financial modules (e.g., Odoo) are correctly used and updated.

3. Cash Flow Oversight

  • Review consolidated cash flow reports from the accounts team.
  • Advise management on liquidity planning and capital allocation.
  • Set financial thresholds and early-warning indicators for cash shortages.

4. Real Estate Investment Strategy

  • Evaluate real estate acquisitions, rental yields, mortgage plans, and ROI.
  • Recommend property acquisition timing and financing strategy.
  • Prepare long-term property portfolio and investment models.

5. Partnership & Joint Venture Advisory

  • Advise on structuring partnerships, equity splits, and profit-sharing.
  • Build JV models, financial simulations, and exit scenarios.
  • Participate in partner financial negotiations when needed.

6. Capital & Banking Management

  • Advise on financing options, credit facilities, loans, and refinancing.
  • Maintain strategic relationship with banks and financial institutions.
  • Evaluate leverage strategies and associated risks.

7. Financial Risk Management

  • Identify financial vulnerabilities across all business units.
  • Create mitigation plans and contingency scenarios.
  • Provide guidance during periods of financial pressure or cash constraint.

8. Reporting & Advisory Meetings

  • Lead monthly or quarterly financial review meetings with management.
  • Present insights, trends, red flags, and strategic recommendations.
  • Consolidate and summarize financial performance into executive briefs.

Requirements

  • 10–15+ years of experience in finance, investment, real estate, or corporate advisory.
  • Strong understanding of UAE real estate markets and project-based industries.
  • Proven experience leading finance teams.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, capital structuring, and strategic planning.
  • Experience advising multi-business companies or high-growth organizations.
