Financial Aid Assistant

Required: A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
Preferred: Prior experience in an educational setting preferred. Related experience or equivalent education training and experience.
Duties:
- Provide frontline customer service and student support by responding to inquiries through phone, email, chat, and other communication channels, while assisting with proactive outreach and routine financial aid communications.
- Support financial aid processing operations by tracking documents, preparing workflows, organizing reports and spreadsheets, and performing non-decision-based administrative tasks that promote timely and accurate processing.
- Conduct quality assurance and compliance support activities by completing audit checks, verifying system flags and checklist requirements, identifying discrepancies, and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Maintain and enhance student communication resources by supporting PLUS loan communication campaigns, updating chatbot content and website information, and ensuring students receive accurate, timely guidance.
Provide operational and administrative support to the Financial Aid processing team by coordinating routine office functions, maintaining records, assisting with workflow management, and contributing to continuous process improvements that enhance efficiency and student service.
Temporary staff position. (TP0746/NS01478P). Salary commensurate with experience. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
