Compensation:
New hires start between $71,740 and $95,654 based on experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, internal equity, and market factors. While the full pay range is listed for this position for pay transparency, individual compensation is determined by various factors and may vary within the posted range.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, the Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization’s financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. This role plays a key part in developing and maintaining financial models, conducting performance analysis, and delivering accurate and timely financial insights to support decision-making at various levels of the organization. The Financial Analyst partners closely with program and operational leaders to evaluate financial performance, identify cost drivers, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and contribute to the achievement of strategic objectives.

Key areas of accountability include financial modeling and scenario planning, budget variance analysis, cost analysis, business unit support, and participation in cross-functional projects. The role requires a high level of analytical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations. This position must thrive at the intersection of data and strategy and is critical in driving financial visibility and performance across a dynamic organization with a diverse portfolio of services. This position will be accountable to build insightful models, partner closely with business leaders, and deliver data-driven recommendations that shape decision-making, optimize resources, and fuel strategic growth.

PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Modeling & Strategic Analysis
  • Design, maintain, and optimize financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
  • Analyze trends, variances, and key performance indicators to deliver insights that inform strategic decisions.
  • Present findings to leadership to support investment decisions, pricing/contract negotiations and resource planning.
  • Translate financial complexity into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
Cost Analysis & Performance Management
  • Analyze program and service costs to identify efficiency opportunities and support pricing/resource allocation.
  • Monitor budget-to-actual performance and lead variance investigations with recommendations for corrective action.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of cost control initiatives and provide continuous improvement recommendations.
Business Partnering
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to departments and program leaders.
  • Provide decision support through translation of financial insights, scenario modeling, and performance trend analysis.
  • Collaborate across finance, operations, support services, and program teams to align financial goals with mission outcomes.
Ad Hoc Analysis & Projects
  • Conduct targeted financial analyses to answer key business questions.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, such as system upgrades, process improvements, and grant/resource modeling.
  • Support executive presentations, board materials, and other high-impact financial communications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and Excel modeling skills.
  • Strong communicator—able to translate data into strategic insight and influence outcomes.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and managing multiple priorities with professionalism and accuracy.
  • High integrity and confidentiality in managing sensitive financial data.
  • Adaptive and collaborative mindset; thrives in mission-driven or complex organizational environments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, planning, or corporate finance, specifically in a FP&A environment
  • Advanced Excel skills and demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling expertise required
  • Experience with financial systems such as Workday Adaptive (modeling and report building) and Epicor

  • Familiarity with nonprofit, manufacturing, human services, or similar environments strongly preferred.
