About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to support the financial operations of Microtech Knives and our related entities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-driven environment and is eager to grow in a dynamic manufacturing setting. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Financial Analyst will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, drive process improvements, and contribute to key compliance and reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger & Reporting
  • Drive the month-end process within the department to generate timely and accurate financials
  • Understand, analyze, and report on various financial reports, including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flow
  • Complete year-end accounting activities, including overseeing physical inventory count
  • Oversee and support the annual financial audit process, including reconciling, reporting, and communicating with external auditors
  • Track and document capital asset purchases, asset listings, and depreciation schedules
  • Generate and communicate various financial reports using Excel, ERP, POS, and other business systems

Treasury Management
  • Complete daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and entities and resolve discrepancies promptly
    • Post incoming and outgoing ACH payments and wires, providing timely updates to internal and external partners
    • Manage various fraud controls and oversight to ensure company funds are safeguarded at the highest level.

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Execute weekly payment runs and reconcile vendor statements weekly
  • Compile credit card reconciliations through the use of a spend center software, including training employees and management in the proper use of the system
  • Train AR and AP associates and support their functions as needed
  • File multi-state sales and use tax reports
  • Record payroll and benefits-related entries accurately and consistently
  • Oversee daily AR and AP processes

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional accounting role
  • Manufacturing industry experience is a strong plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with ERP systems and adaptability to new technology
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized under pressure
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime when necessary
