The Financial Analyst is responsible for various accounting and financial analysis duties, including preparing complex cost analyses for new and existing business opportunities (Branded and Private Label), as well as detailed profit and loss analyses.

This position is 4 days a week on-site in Elgin, IL

Functions of the Position:

  • Partners with cross‑functional teams—including Sales, Marketing, R&D, Procurement, and Operations—to gather and validate cost inputs. Conducts detailed BOM and P&L analyses to ensure accurate product costing for bids, innovation initiatives, and cost‑mitigation projects.
  • Conducts semi‑annual P&L bridge analyses for key existing customers to identify significant cost drivers. Provides insights to support Marketing in understanding customer- and product‑level profitability and informing strategic pricing decisions.
  • Prepares detailed cost breakdown analyses as needed.
  • Supports the monthly financial forecast process, including updates to commodity and packaging costs, SG&A, and operational spending.
  • Monitors actual financial performance versus plan and forecast.
  • Contributes to ad hoc financial analyses and project initiatives as needed.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

  • Three or more years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
  • Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • CPA certification preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Solid understanding of financial statements.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex, multi‑level BOM structures.
  • Ability to work both independently and cross‑functionally.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, queries, etc.).
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate reporting tools such as OneStream and Power BI.

Pay: $80,963.00 - $111,324.00 per year
