Financial Analyst

Shield HealthCare is looking for a Financial Analyst for our corporate office in Valencia, CA. The primary function of this position is to support business operations through the development and preparation of key data and financial analysis. Create analytical models to better understand business trends as well as areas of risk and opportunity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and prepare management reports that highlight operational results and trends
• Create advanced excel modeling for various business scenarios
• Develop and prepare customized reports and forecasts for both internal and external customers
• Assist in the implementation of new technology
• Handle multiple priorities with aggressive deadlines and ensure appropriate follow-up and closure
• Responsible for developing quantitative and qualitative explanations from analytical models
• Quantify impact of new insurance carrier contracts
• Participate in assessment of acquisition opportunities
• Prepare multiple ad-hoc analyses as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in in Accounting, Finance or equivalent. MBA preferred.
• Three years’ experience in financial reporting, specifically analysis, forecasting, budgeting and planning
• Advanced or Expert level of proficiency in MS Excel
• Proven ability to communicate results of analysis to non-financial staff with great impact
• Possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
