Financial Analyst

Payrate: $36.00 - $38.00/hr.

Summary:
The main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information. They typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A financial analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.

Responsibilities

Analyze actual operating results and interpret data, presenting results to management.
Respond to budget-related requests for financial data.
Reconcile promotional claims and POS activity.
Research payment reconciliation issues arising from audits, exception reports, or remittance changes.
Generate required reporting to validate payments and resolve discrepancies and variances.
Reconcile carrier commissions against in-store reporting to ensure timely and accurate payment.
Deliver reporting and analytics to key business stakeholders, utilizing appropriate data to create actionable spending plans.
Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.
Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for investment decisions.
Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of directly related experience is required.
Prior experience in retail operations is preferred.
Must have accounting experience utilizing SAP R/3 software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with solid Excel and PowerPoint skills.
2-4 years of financial and/or accounting experience required.
An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.

Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data.
Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting.
Experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and other related financial software.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $36.00 - $38.00 /hour . Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
