Financial Analyst

We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Lafayette, Indiana. This position is a newly created role and plays a critical role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes across the organization. The ideal candidate will excel at interpreting complex data, developing actionable insights, and presenting recommendations to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, costs, and profit, incorporating scenario analyses to evaluate potential growth and margin impacts.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, monitor performance against plans, and analyze variances to identify key drivers.

• Extract, clean, and analyze data from various systems such as D365 and Power BI to uncover trends and opportunities.

• Create and deliver clear, concise financial reports and dashboards for multiple business units, utilizing tools like Excel and Power BI.

• Provide actionable insights to leadership by interpreting financial results and recommending strategies to improve performance.

• Support strategic decision-making by conducting evaluations for new projects, pricing strategies, and cost-reduction initiatives.

• Perform sensitivity analyses and "what-if" scenarios to guide organizational decisions.

• Conduct cost accounting, inventory analysis, and margin evaluations by product line and customer to optimize profitability.

• Collaborate with business unit leaders to align financial planning with operational goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.
• Proven experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and data analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and dashboard creation.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as D365 and experience with Power BI is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to clean and interpret data from multiple sources.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex data into actionable recommendations.
• Comfortable presenting insights and strategies to leadership.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role.
