Hybrid | Trenton, NJ area (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Compensation: $85,000 – $95,000 base

Bonus: Discretionary

About the Organization

A growing, mid-sized organization operating in a highly regulated environment, supporting long-standing customer relationships and recurring revenue streams. The finance function is evolving, with a strong focus on improving revenue analytics, strengthening financial controls, and preparing for a major ERP go-live later this year. This is a hands-on environment where collaboration, adaptability, and a positive attitude are highly valued.

The Opportunity

This Financial Analyst will play a key role in revenue analysis and reporting, with a strong emphasis on manual processes and advanced Excel modeling . The role is ideal for someone who enjoys building from scratch, digging into details, and partnering closely with accounting during a period of system transition and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain revenue models from the ground up using advanced Excel
• Analyze and calculate deferred revenue in accordance with ASC 606
• Support revenue recognition analysis; prior rev rec exposure is a plus
• Partner with Accounting on monthly close support related to revenue reporting
• Work extensively in manual, Excel-based processes while systems mature
• Assist with data preparation and reconciliation in advance of an upcoming Oracle NetSuite go-live (August)
• Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, documentation, and consistency within revenue processes
• Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Financial Analyst (hands-on, detail-oriented background)
• Advanced Excel skills (model building, formulas, data manipulation)
• Solid understanding of ASC 606 and deferred revenue concepts
• Comfortable working in manual environments with limited automation
• Experience supporting or partnering with Accounting teams
• ERP exposure preferred; NetSuite experience is a plus but not required
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
