About This Role
The Carrier Finance department, located in Indianapolis, IN has an opening for a Sr. Associate FP&A Analyst supporting the North American Residential and Light Commercial organization (NARLCS). This position will require interactions with finance contacts and other internal groups. This position operates in a rapidly changing environment and requires excellent time management and adaptability. The candidate should also demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to reporting accuracy and detail.
This role will support the NARLCS finance team in meeting cyclical reporting requirements and delivering valuable analytical support and partnership to the RLCS leadership team and larger organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate actual monthly results and investigate variances to plan / prior year / prior estimates
Develop and load financial forecasts for various areas and planning cycles
Prepare monthly, weekly, and ad-hoc reporting analyzing financial performance versus forecast and plan
Support NARLCS consolidation reporting, presentations, and analysis
Work with leaders at month-end to understand expenses and record-related journal entries to ensure financials are accurately stated.
Identify and implement process and reporting improvements
Perform special projects and ad hoc business/financial analysis where needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
2+ years of experience in an Accounting or Finance role
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA
Working knowledge of US GAAP
Proven track record with financial process/reporting improvement and simplification
Ability to develop and apply financial models
Demonstrated PC skills, including advanced knowledge of HFM, SAP, Excel and PowerPoint
Financial/cost analysis and budgeting/forecasting skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Must possess strong analytical skills and sound business judgment
Self-direction and organization skills critical to achieve month-end reporting deadlines
