Financial Analyst (Multifamily Real Estate Investment)
We are seeking a highly motivated
Financial Analyst
to join our growing multifamily real estate investment firm. This role sits at the intersection of
asset management, accounting, and transaction execution
, providing exposure across the full lifecycle of real estate investments—from acquisition and due diligence through operations and investor reporting.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants full visibility into leadership by reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analyses & Asset Management Support

Analyze property-level financials to ensure accurate financial reporting

Collaborate and support Asset Management on lender reporting, draw requests, and reserve tracking

Analyze mortgage billing statements and escrows for each asset to ensure they align with expectations
Accounting & Controller Functions

Oversee and coordinate with third-party property management accounting teams

Review and guide journal entries, reclasses, contributions, and distributions
-
Assist with internal entity accounting and budgeting (QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel), which includes maintaining updated internal financial statements and real estate owned schedules

Support payroll processes, 401(k) administration, and internal financial operations
Transaction & Due Diligence Support

Assist with acquisition due diligence, including document collection and analysis

Maintain transaction closing checklists and timelines

Review deal structures, waterfalls, and syndication documents to ensure alignment with business plans
-
Support deal execution through closing
Treasury & Cash Management

Assist with treasury functions including bank account oversight and cash movement processes
-
Prepare and process quarterly investor distributions
-
Maintain controls around ACH/wire processes
-
Monitor liquidity and capital flows across entities and properties
External Stakeholder Coordination

Serve as a point of contact for lenders, brokers, property managers, insurance agents, tax accountants, and cost segregation partners

Respond to reporting requests and ensure compliance with loan requirements

Build and maintain strong professional relationships across stakeholders
Tax & Compliance Support

Assist in preparing financials for tax filings

Support annual tax return processes and investor K-1 distribution
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, or related field

1–3+ years of experience in:

Real estate (preferred), private equity, or investment management
-
Public accounting (audit/tax) with real estate exposure also considered

Strong financial analysis and accounting foundation
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications

Accounting or finance experience with multifamily real estate or real estate syndications

Familiarity with:

Property management/accounting systems (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi, Real Page)

QuickBooks or similar general ledger systems

Understanding of:

Real estate waterfalls and partnership structures

Debt structures and lender reporting requirements

CPA or progress toward certification (nice to have, not required)

Compensation:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â $70,000-80,000 base salary with bonus structure.
