THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Central Region Finance team. The ideal candidate acts as a strategic partner to the divisions and contributes to key business decisions through analysis and collaboration. This position will manage the region’s month-end closing and consolidation process; generate and interpret financial records and statements for management. Other key responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting, supporting special projects, and maintaining strong controls.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

Coordinate monthly closing process across the region.

Prepare consolidated financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow).

Analyze financial performance and prepare financial and operational projections.

Assess and forecast key performance indicators.

Prepare presentations for monthly management reviews.

Prepare fiscal year-end financial statements and corporate tax returns; assist audit activities.

Prepare external financial and bank compliance reports.

Coordinate the annual budgeting planning process for the company.

Research and provide opinions on proper GAAP accounting treatment for new processes.

Effectively analyze and reconcile financial data with attention to detail.

Participate in special projects as requested, such as implementation of the new ERP system.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
-
Five to seven years of related experience in finance, accounting or audit.

Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles.

Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting is required.

Exercise sound judgment in performing subjective accounting analysis.

Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information.

Work independently and successfully as a team member.

Strong organizational and planning skills, and an ability to perform under pressure.

Able to communicate effectively, written and verbally

Strong work ethic.

Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
