Financial Analyst I

Are you a problem-solver with a passion for helping people? We're looking for a Disbursements Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you'll be the go-to person for all things related to financial disbursements, ensuring our customers and partners get the answers they need quickly and accurately.

You'll be a vital part of our operations, managing inquiries, performing daily check audits, and researching payment details. If you have a strong sense of ownership and a knack for details, this is the perfect role for you.

This is a full-time, in-office position, and some flexibility in working hours may be available.

The Division
The Division of Finance provides fiscal leadership and quality financial systems, processes, and information to state agencies and Utah residents. It promotes a culture of customer service, efficiency, and effectiveness, and expects a high degree of fiscal accountability for the taxpayer resources entrusted to the State.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Field incoming questions and resolve issues from internal and external customers via phone, email, and in-person.

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance by performing daily check audits.
  • Process check replacement requests
  • Dig into the details to research and resolve issues with Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to keep payments running smoothly.
  • Tackle a variety of administrative tasks, including supporting the Finder garnishment program.

  • Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
