Financial Analyst II

Clearwater| Monday- Friday, 8am-4:30pm | Exempt |Hybrid

BayCare is seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Analyst II to join our Finance Division. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in accounting and finance who are ready to take on more complex responsibilities and grow into leadership.

What You’ll Do in This Role

• Work independently within your area of responsibility, with periodic interaction across all levels of management
• Conduct research on moderately complex financial and accounting topics
• Serve as the financial representative for moderately to highly complex clinical or business service lines
• Prepare and enhance processes for financial analysis, reporting, and general accounting
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and variance analysis
• Facilitate and analyze data for operating and capital budgets and forecasts
• Prepare and ensure accuracy of regulatory reporting
• Ensure compliance with capital asset management policies
• Coordinate charge master services
• Provide excellent customer service while managing multiple tasks
• Begin developing leadership skills by participating in and leading low-to-moderate complexity projects within the Finance Division

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance; OR
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years in Accounting; OR
• Minimum 2 years in Finance-related roles; OR
• Minimum 3 years in a related field

High-level understanding of EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) functions

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

CPA certification (Accounting)

Grant accounting experience
