The Financial Analyst III is a critical member of the College of Medicine-Tucson finance team, providing key support to the Assistant Dean of Financial Affairs through budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to aid in effective financial management and strategic decision-making across all departments, centers, and administrative units within the college.
This role plays a pivotal part in developing financial tools and budget strategies, executing the annual all-funds and forecasting process, and producing comprehensive financial reports.
The Financial Analyst III partners with departmental and center administrators/staff to support with budgeting and quarterly forecasting, reviews and validates financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with institutional procedures, resolves discrepancies, and delivers detailed analysis and insights to support leadership decision-making.Success in this role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Advanced proficiency in Excel, experience working with large and complex data sets, and expertise in financial reporting are essential.
