The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the financial health and strategic direction of the organization within a luxury hospitality environment. This position oversees financial operations, reporting, and analysis, requiring a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial management, and business strategy. Working closely with the Finance Manager, the role supports informed decision-making, drives financial performance, and ensures full compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Finance Manager in preparing the property’s month-end financial statements.
- Ensure all daily and monthly journal entries are accurately posted so the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reflect the property’s true financial position.
- Review and complete General Ledger reconciliations and ensure timely adjustment entries.
- Maintain and review the Fixed Asset Register and prepare related depreciation journals.
- Assist the Finance Manager with the training and development of Finance Department team members.
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Liaise with external auditors and provide required documentation during audits.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and enhance revenue performance.
- Oversee the Food & Beverage cost control function and ensure compliance with established procedures and reporting requirements.
- Act as delegate for the Finance Manager on financial matters when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounts or financial management, preferably within luxury hospitality.
- Fully or partially qualified in a recognized professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CMA.
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present financial information to stakeholders.
