Position Overview:
The Financial Analyst will support TSG’s vision by bolstering the Finance team’s ability to disseminate timely and accurate insight on company performance to the operation and management teams. Having a curious mind and a willingness to collaborate across multiple groups will allow this role to thrive.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare regular or ad-hoc financial reporting and analytics.
- Work in Excel using formulas such as SUMIF, LOOKUPS, IFS, and more to manipulate and present data.
- Build and maintain financial dashboards using data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Provide analysis into business results along with recommendations for areas of improvement. Assist the forecasting & budgeting process for multiple lines of businesses.
- Deliver meaningful insights by challenging business assumptions, developing alternative scenarios and educating business partners on financial issues and concepts.
- Work on special projects to provides financial support for the development, implementation, tracking and reporting of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participates and drives standardization of key business processes and reporting including: strategic financial planning, cash flow, ROI, Capital and Operating expenditures.
- Use OLAP data cubes, SQL, and MS Access to pull data needed for analysis.
- Performs other reasonable tasks as necessary for company operations.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word, Access
- Working knowledge of ERP Systems (Lawson a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work flow
- Understanding of accounting concepts
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Preferred 2-5 years of experience in Financial Analysis & Reporting
