The Opportunity

Our client, a prestigious international law firm is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its pricing and revenue strategy team in New York. This Financial Analyst role offers the opportunity to partner directly with business leaders and clients to develop pricing strategies, budgets, and data-driven financial insights that shape firmwide decision-making. You’ll analyze client and matter profitability, support RFPs and negotiations, and play a hands-on role in improving financial performance and reporting accuracy across the organization.


Role at a Glance

You’ll work cross-functionally with attorneys, finance, and operations teams to design and implement pricing models, manage client fee arrangements, and develop analytical tools that drive strategic decision-making. This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and enjoys using financial analysis to influence business outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain pricing and financial models to support client fee arrangements, budgets, and matter forecasts.
  • Review and implement client-specific rate agreements in collaboration with billing and finance teams.
  • Conduct profitability, realization, and variance analyses to identify trends and optimize pricing performance.
  • Prepare financial reports and present key insights to leadership, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Support pricing-related components of RFPs, client negotiations, and Outside Counsel Guideline reviews.
  • Collaborate on annual rate reviews and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to drive transparency and informed decision-making across the firm.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
  • 2–3+ years of experience in pricing, FP&A, or financial analysis (financial services, business consulting or legal industries preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills; exposure to SQL or data visualization tools preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication abilities with a high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
