Financial Analytics Associate contributes to data and analytics efforts of the finance, accounting, and operations teams, working exclusively on investment vehicles managed by Pretium. The associate will support the execution, maintenance, enhancement and build of data process, reporting and analytics tools supporting a mortgage investment business. This position requires interaction with multiple business units including trading, data, technology, and transaction management, finance, and accounting.

Job Functions:

• Own and maintain various python/SQL processes supporting the finance, accounting, and operation teams.
• Build and maintain database to support finance and accounting reporting and processes related to new product types (MSR, HELOC, EBO).
• Key member in designing and architecting data warehouse and processes to support it
• Assist with overseeing offshore team in data and application builds
• Ad hoc reporting, analysis, and automation projects.

Education/Skill Requirements:

• 4-year degree in finance, mathematics, or computer science.
• 3-10 years of relevant work experience.
• Detail oriented with ability to prioritize workflow and multitask.
• Proactive communication skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional analytical skills.
• Proactive in developing new ideas and ability to enhance current methods and tools.
• Intermediate SQL skills.
• Intermediate Python skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience dealing with mortgage credit.
• Experience with financial services industry.
• Experience with Microsoft data cube.
